Arturia MatrixBrute Patches

Plug into the Matrix with Luftrum 27 for Arturia MatrixBrute. A classic set in the vein of previous Luftrum numbered releases, it fuses retro analog colors with cutting-edge modern timbres.

Totaling 80 patches, this set provides a well rounded mix of timeless analog emulations, as well as esoteric explorations. Think Retro 80s meets Downtempo Ambient, takes a quick dip in 90s Acid and Detroit House, and finishes with a stroll through Berlin School. Expressive sync leads, 80s inspired synthpop keys, glistening arpeggios, warm paraphonic pads, berlin-school sequences, mixed with drones, cinematic duo-split compositions, percussive loops and more.

Inspiring, useful, and most importantly fun, this set will be a boon to any producer and seeks to change perceptions of what the MatrixBrute is capable of producing.

Inspiration was drawn from synth legends such as Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Vince Clarke, Klaus Schulze, Royksopp, Sinioia Caves, Le Matos and Disasterpeace. An emphasis has been given towards workhorse type patches that encapsulate the essence of what makes these artists special. Whether you are composing for film, games or seeking inspiration for your next chart-topper, this set has something for everyone.

The MatrixBrute is Arturia’s answer to what makes a powerful monosynth (technically, it’s paraphonic). With 3 VCOs, two analog filters, a massive modulation matrix, analog effects, and a 64-step sequencer, it provides a wealth of sonic potential. As always, patches in the set are volume balanced with assignments for all four macro controls plus modwheel, velocity and aftertouch.

The set requires firmware version 2.0.3 for the Arturia MatrixBrute, available through Arturia’s site here. A PDF guide is included with the soundset, describing how to transfer the patches from your computer to the MatrixBrute. There’s a video below, demonstrating the process too.
